Here at Argo Marine Travel, our travel advisors are among the best and most knowledgeable in the marine business. They have extensive industry knowledge, global relationships, and personal experience which add tremendous value to our clients and partners.
Below is a testimonial recieved by one of our longest-standing clients at ABC Maritime AG:
"ABC Maritime as a company is based on family values. Our relationship with ARGO Marine has been going back to several decades. As a trusted partner, ARGO Marine has proven themselves to be besides very competitive when to comes to pricing, but also extremely pro-active when it comes to travel planning. Moreover, in the event that there are issues while someone is flying their 24/7 service is always ready to render their assistance and have multiple solutions provided in order to minimize the deviation from our initial travel arrangements.
Last but not least, I could not emphasize enough their invaluable assistance in the process of evacuation and relocating of our team from our Odessa office to Athens."
- George Pitaoulis, Marine Personnel & Development Director at ABC Maritime AG - Non-Executive Director at IMEC
Argo Marine Travel is proud to have many long-standing relationships and would like to thank each and every one of our customers for their trust in us to manage their company's maritime travel program. We love what we do and we're always open!
Posidonia has been established since 1969 as one of the major calendar events of the shipping industry. Every two years, the event attracts the most influential personalities from the Greek and international shipping community and major companies and organisations active in all sectors of the shipping industry and backed by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Insular Policy, the Union of Greek Shipowners, and the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, and with the support of the Municipality of Piraeus and the Greek Shipping Co-operation Committee.
Posidonia not only serves as a bridge linking the international shipping industry with the Greek shipowners, who operate the largest fleet globally of over 4,000 vessels, but also serves as the platform that brings international shipowners in touch with the latest developments in the shipping industry and offers them direct access to the entire range of shipping products and services available on the international shipping market – including Argo Marine Travel’s specialty, maritime travel management.
Founded in Athens in 1952 by pioneers of the growing Marine Industry, ARGO MARINE TRAVEL prides itself on being Greece’s oldest Travel Management Company and the most distinguished Marine Fare Consolidator. Today, our dynamic travel executives provide ARGO MARINE TRAVEL with the competitive advantage of experience, combined with travel creativity, to provide our clients with full-service marine travel management services.
During Posidonia week, Argo Marine Travel will be participating in a number of networking and sporting events, including a Basketball tournament and our flagship party alongside Oceanic and GMT to celebrate our clients, partners and friends of the shipping industry.

Global Marine Travel (GMT) heads into its third year in a row on the Travel Weekly Power List as a specialist Travel Management Company within the Maritime Industry, gaining a new spot at #42 for 2021.
Travel Weekly surveyed companies with a minimum of $100 million in travel sales certified by a company’s owner, CEO or CFO. Due to the pandemic, their methodology was to continue to base rankings on gross travel sales in 2019 with the exception only of 2020 merger and acquisition activity among Power List agencies.
One of the main strengths of the industry had been through acknowledging weaknesses and adapting to new ways of working, while also raising the bar on customer service to accommodate the influx of cancellations and refunds. GMT took a proactive approach to the pandemic throughout 2020 and worked to increase communication methods with all clients, focus on maritime crew repatriation globally via charter flights, worked with customers and airlines to manage refunds and find solutions to complex travel requests, invested in additional mergers and acquisitions and reduced office space.
Looking ahead as travel continues to recover, GMT is confident that towards the end of 2021 we will see a return toward normal travel patterns for marine travel. GMT will also continue to centralize/reorganize operational efficiencies under a strong executive leadership team, further implement digital technologies for our customers such as our Fly2C marine online booking tool, and our revolutionary cruise passenger air booking platform, Cruiselink. Through and post pandemic, GMT maintains a full team of customer service agents assisting customers with latest current travel rules and procedures.
GMT is also celebrating 20 years of excellence in providing specialist travel services to the marine industry. Tim Davey, Founder and Managing Director of GMT stated, “As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we pledge to continue providing the best customer service and travel solutions to meet the ever-changing needs of our industry. Through collaborative efforts from our leadership team and travel agents, and with V.Group’s support, we will ensure the continued growth of our company, as well as our clients and partners. Onwards and upwards!”
As the US, Netherlands and other nations begin to roll out vaccines to all seafarers, the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has published a Vaccination Roadmap framework to help establish vaccination hubs dedicated to seafarers across the world, alongside other major maritime NGOs.
On February 23rd, Argo Marine Travel (AMT) made a charitable donation to the ORAMA ELPIDAS Association for International Childhood Cancer Day 2021.
AMT's generous donation further allows the organization to carry out their mission in the Bone Marrow Donor Registry “ORAMA ELPIDAS”, in supporting patients suffering from cancer and other hematological diseases, as well as in raising the awareness of the Greek people, who embrace our vision and support of their work.
A letter of thanks was delivered to AMT on behalf of all the patients who are waiting for their compatible Bone Marrow Donor, their families, our volunteers, staff, and Board of Directors. You can view the letter below.
On 18th February, Tim Davey, Managing Director and Founder of GMT – Global Marine Travel took part in a panel discussion examining the recovery of the travel industry post Covid-19.
Global Marine Travel (GMT) heads into its second year on the Travel Weekly Power List as a high-valued Travel Management Company within the Maritime Industry, earning its new stripes at #43 in 2020 over #47 in 2019.
London, 20 January: Global Marine Travel (GMT), announced today that it has partnered with Argo Travel Group to enhance its travel offering particularly in terms of service delivery and driving growth in the Greek and international markets.
